comme le précédent effort de danger mouse, the grey album (un mash-up des beatles et de jay-z), the notorious xx un hilarant mash-up de dj wait what combinant the notorious b.i.g. et les flegmatiques the xx, a été promptement menacé de poursuites quelques jours seulement après avoir attiré l'attention des blogues et autres sites web spécialisés.

il en reste encore quelques traces, à écouter promptement avant qu'elles ne disparaissent.

un peu de v/vm

contrairement aux multiples producteurs qui pillent adroitement le passé phonoculturel pour des boucles accrocheuses (de diddy à madlib) et dans une direction différente des plunderphonics d'oswald, v/vm encadre l'auditeur dans une translation où un élément musical commercial est partiellement détruit pour révéler une musique d'artefacts (glitchs) devenue agréable parce que familière.

alors que certaines oeuvres noise refusent d'ouvrir des accès à l'interprétation perceptibles aux néophytes, ces érosions digitales demeurent compréhensibles tout en conservant leur aspect résolument abrasif!

vanishing willis

je n'ai jamais vraiment accroché sur gorillaz, mais cette pièce extraite de leur nouvel album est bonne et le clip m'a fait penser que bruce willis aurait été parfait pour un remake de vanishing point!

aussi, un des remix officiels est très très efficace!
